Players can register individually to be placed on a team or sign up with friends to take on the challenge together. All teams are placed appropriately by age group to keep games fun, fair, and competitive.

Our Winter 5v5 League is designed to keep players active and improving through the off-season. With smaller teams and more touches on the ball, players are constantly involved in the action — making it a great mix of development and fun during the winter months!

Who Can Play

The Winter 5v5 League is open to boys and girls born between 2010–2019.
All players register individually through PlayMetrics — no need to register by team!

If you’re joining with friends or your current team, simply include your team name and/or coach’s name during registration so we can group you together.

Team Formation

Each team will have a maximum of 8 players to ensure plenty of playing time.

Registration is open to both players joining as part of a team and those registering on their own. For individual players, our goal is to create new, balanced teams whenever possible.

If an age group has fewer players, some rosters may be combined to make sure everyone gets the chance to play and compete.

Small-sided soccer is one of the best ways for young players to grow.
The 5v5 format keeps everyone engaged and constantly on the ball — promoting quicker decision-making, creativity, and confidence in tight spaces.

It’s the perfect way to stay sharp, have fun, and continue improving through the winter season.

Rosters

• During registration, our Directors form teams based on requests, player locations, and team needs, prioritizing early registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. While we consider teammate/coach requests, they are not guaranteed. Approximately 2 weeks before the league start, rosters are finalized and communicated to coaches and parents.
